Challenge

Almond Marketing provides ongoing digital marketing support to the UK’s first organic supermarket including paid for social media advertising, digital PR and SEO services. In 2020-2021, Almond provided particular SEO advice and implementation services throughout the design, build and operation of a new e-commerce site. Relaunched with full UK delivery and a wider range of products than ever, our client continued to be driven by building traffic and sales. They also needed to mitigate against the risks of losing search performance and campaign results associated with redesigning a website. Almond delivered all the required keyword analysis, SEO copy and aligned consultancy before and after the launch.

Solution

Almond Marketing worked with the client and other agency support to provide a focused seamless project team to manage the development and launch of the new e-commerce site. Phillipa James, Almond’s CEO led the SEO strategy and Almond subject matter experts were responsible for the resulting keyword research, blueprints and copy for all product, category and blog pages.

Almond also delivered campaign based Digital PR to raise our client’s profile and build traffic through positive engagement with relevant bloggers and online influencers. An initial campaign, for example, focused on the client’s gift hamper range over Christmas.

Following the launch, the Almond team continues to provide ongoing search analysis and monitoring services as well as managing paid for Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns. This allows our client management team to assess sales performance, celebrate successes, improve return on investment and make fully informed business decisions.

Digital PR activity also led to coverage on high-domain sites, targeted product reviews and direct sales of key products. We are accountable for digital paid for advertising campaigns too providing the required account management and technical support. Recently, this included navigating the client’s account through the Facebook iOS14 updates. Despite their impact, our paid advert campaigns delivered a Return on Ad Investment Ratio (ROAS) of x 8.
